OZONE

Ozone (O3) is an allotropic form of oxygen and its molecules are made up of three oxygen atoms. Due to the “extra” atom, active oxygen is an extremely reactive molecule responding very selectively to the macromolecular components of bacterial cells, yeasts, protozoa and viruses. The free oxygen atoms or radicals are highly reactive and would oxidize almost anything making ozone an enormously powerful disinfectant and oxidizer.

By saturating indoor spaces, ozone performs an effective disinfection eliminating viruses, bacteria molds and yeasts. Unlike conventional disinfection systems, gas can easily reach all surfaces (even the most hidden ones) providing a powerful and lasting sanitization of the environment.

Studies show that ozone sanitization is more than five times more powerful than any traditional sanitization, almost eliminating any possibility of infection and allergy, as well as eradicating mold, germs, mites and micro-bacterial charges harmful to health. Ozone can be used to quickly and effectively sanitise and disinfect air, water and surfaces.

IS OZONE SAFE?

Low ozone concentration, given the absence of danger to the respiratory tract, can be used during operational activity, so as to contain microbial contamination and viruses in activation.

Higher concentration, which can be toxic, can instead be used for a profound sanitation of the environment during the hours of suspension of the operating activity or between patients.

OZONE IS COMPLETELY SAFE AND RESPECTS THE ENVIRONMENT

WHY TO CHOOSE OZONE-BASED SANITIZATION?

  • Guarantees elimination of 99.9% viruses, bacteria, molds and yeasts
  • Its highly oxidizing and sanitizing power reaches all surfaces even the most hidden ones (differently from UV radiation and HEPA filter)
  • When produced with quality devices, ozone is completely safe and there are no contraindications
  • Sanitization happens in short time fitting your clinical protocols
  • Its cost-effectiveness compared to traditional chemicals and reduces staff related costs (no labour nor ordinary maintenance)
  • Environment friendly: No organic nor inorganic harmful residues are left after disinfection (being unstable, Ozone is readily converted back to oxygen)
